ニューヨーク・パブリック・ライブラリーで「24時間読書」（
The 24 Hour Read）、6月4日（土）夕方４時から５日（日）夕方４時まで･･･って聞いたら、本当に図書館で24時間読書するイベントかなって思いますよね? ニューヨークでは、24時間、地下鉄が走り、アップル・ストアの５番街店のように他の都市にはない24時間営業のお店もいろいろありますし。
ちょっと様子を見に行ってみようと思って、会場になってるはずの42丁目にあるNew York Public Library Schwarzman Buildingに夜８時前後に行ってみたんですけど、正面入口はすでにクローズ。しかも大雨。
おっかしいなーって思ってスケジュール確認してみたら、夜7時からの催し物の後は翌朝（つまり明日）の朝10時半まで図書館でやってないみたいです（その間は、みんな自宅で続けてねってこと?）。でも、明日は、児童書や絵本の読み聞かせとかいろいろ楽しめそうです。
